LA3 worked with the Department of Transport & Main Roads (TMR) and the Yarrabah community on the new jetty at Yarrabah. The jetty features built-in artwork of the local wildlife found in the jetty and Yarrabah vicinity. LA3 managed the implementation of artwork from assisting with the artist’s engagement and the documentation of local artist Anthony Yeatman into several steel stencils used for the sandblasting the designs into the jetty pavement. The jetty features a series of interpretation panels telling of the Yarrabah community’s history, traditional stories behind the animal artworks and environmental information. LA3 managed the progression of the interpretation signage working closely with the TMR , local elders, rangers and graphic designers on the series of 10 interpretation signs.
