Al Seef Waterfront

Whilst at GHD Joseph was the Design Director for the enormous Al Seef Waterfront Project in Abu Dhabi UAE for Aldar Properties.  His team of 25 landscape professionals based in Brisbane, Manila and Dubai designed the landscape for the 36 ha site including canal side, residential and commercial public spaces, water features, swimming pools and private courtyards in record time.  Al Seef was designed to be a world-class 21st century mixed-use water side urban development within the wider Al Raha Beach development.  Its habitable outdoor environment promotes a unique, year round external mixed use destination, with the highest architectural and urban design quality.. The design features a continuous canal-side promenade, with the public realm extending to the adjacent precincts encouraging pedestrian flow throughout the development.
