Cairns Convention Centre Upgrade

LA3 designed the arrival landscape for the landmark
Cairns Convention Centre. The vertical gardens on
the facade will be the main feature of the building
when mature. The undercroft arrival area includes a
yarning circle, tropical plantings in raised planters and
a secure perimeter planting with large round river
boulders sourced from the local region. A sky terrace
with panoramic views to the Trinity Inlet sits atop
the Centre with plantings to tolerate the altitude and
climate and create a roof garden atmosphere.
