Once the grand entrance gateway and boundary wall to the Emirates Palace had been completed the frontage needed landscape treatments. Joseph and his team created a simple solution to enable the new elements to dominate and the views to the palace to be maintained. The design included aligning the date palms and curved floral landscape with the rhythm of the fence line and columns then planting the foreground of the monolithic gateway in character with surrounds so as not to detract from the grandeur of the new Palace. The project was completed in time for the GCC conference to be held at the new facility and was appreciated by delegates and visitors to the palace.
