This important entrance road to The Rulers Palaces required an upgrade befitting the celebrated King of the Abu Dhabi Emirate and his family. Much like all the roads on Abu Dhabi Island an existing border of vegetation created the framework for a more detailed design. Simple formal landscape treatments were created by Joseph and his team working with the perspective of a high speed road and using repetition to have an effect. Flagpoles were grouped for a strong effect and hexagonal planter boxes terraced with topiary ficus. The end result was a formal avenue reflecting the manicured nature of the Abu Dhabi streetscape.
