LA3 believes quality Urban Design will reflect or compliment a given location’s ‘Sense of Place’ whether the project is the design or refurbishment of new public realms, township revitalisation, waterfront or smaller design interventions. We strive to achieve that ‘sense of place’, order, richness of experience, completeness and ultimate belonging in all our projects. LA3 develops design outcomeswhich are relevant to stakeholders and the client that are in context with a site. We do this by inclusion in design workshops, discussions and brainstorming with those stakeholders to synthesize the project’s objectives and preferred outcomes. We then overlay our ideas and experience in design to provide an exciting, contemporary, unique, responsive, and memorable outcome.

Our people have years of experience in the design of the public realm in Australia, Asia, and the Middle East, including iconic projects such as Cardwell Foreshore, The Esplanade (Mark One), Grafton and Shields Street in Cairns, Berrimah CBD in Northern Territory, Geoje Waterfront in South Korea, Sport City in Qatar and Abu Dhabi Island in the Middle East. Our projects have a timeless quality that have stood the test of time, and still achieve their original objectives today.
